Stamps.com allows you to print postage, delivery address, and/or return address directly onto your envelopes. To get started, follow these simple steps:

#1 Select the Envelopes tool
In the Stamps.com software, click on “Envelopes” in the left navigation.

#2 Enter address information
Verify the return address and include a company logo (optional). Type the delivery address or select one from the Address Book.

#3 Specify mailpiece details
Select “letters” in the mailpiece section, add the weight of your envelope and choose the designated mail class.

#4 Select item to print on
In the Print Details section, select the type of envelope you will be prining on using the drop down field.  Stamps.com will print on standard #10 envelopes as well as #9, #11 and #12 envelopes.  Or you can use the envelope wizard to print postage on any envelope size.  The wizard creates a template and configures your printer for the envelope’s exact dimensions.

#5 Print a sample and your postage
You are now ready to print postage on your envelope.  To print a sample, place an envelope or plain sheet of paper in your printer’s manual feed tray and then click “Print Sample.” When you are ready to print, load an envelope into your printer and click “Print Postage.”  Note: If the print fails, you can attempt one reprint by clicking on the “Reprint” button.

Window Envelope Warning: The plastic used in many window envelopes can melt inside laser printers.  This can result in damage to both the envelope and potentially to the printer.  MAKE SURE that your envelopes are compatible with your printer. Stamps.com offers window envelopes specifically designed to work with laser printers.
