STAMPS.COM AND TRUESHIP PARTNER TO OFFER A POWERFUL ECOMMERCE SHIPPING SOLUTION
LOS ANGELES and SCOTTSDALE, AZ. – April 27, 2009 – Stamps.com® (Nasdaq:STMP), the leading provider of online postage for shipping software solutions, and TrueShip™, a leading shipping software developer for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that Stamps.com’s PC Postage® will be integrated into every download of TrueShip’s ReadyShipper. The integration enables printing of USPS shipping labels for both domestic and international destinations via the Stamps.com API, greatly enhancing the powerful ecommerce shipping solution already found in ReadyShipper. Users do not need to go outside of ReadyShipper to buy postage, validate addresses, print shipping labels, or void orders.
PC Postage is a software-based service that allows customers to use existing PCs to calculate and print valid U.S. postage for letters, packages and international mail without having to go to the Post Office. Individuals, home offices and small businesses can manage their mailing and shipping operations more efficiently and securely than with postage meters or regular stamps. For businesses, Stamps.com is up to 80% cheaper than a traditional postage meter and allows for easy tracking and reporting of postage expenditures.
ReadyShipper is a turnkey solution that streamlines the shipping process. It routes orders, creates shipping labels and packing lists, and works with many popular ecommerce systems. ReadyShipper is a Mac® and PC compatible system that is simple for the small business shipping a few packages a day and robust enough to support the enterprise that ships thousands of packages. The integration brings new levels of shipping automation to Stamps.com account holders, incorporating PC Postage for both domestic and international shipping and customs documentation.
ReadyShipper 4 Mac delivers enterprise-level shipping efficiency in a clean and easy to use Apple inspired interface. The integration allows Stamps.com to break into the Mac market and greatly expands Stamps.com’s potential market reach with available integrations for many major ecommerce, order management and accounting systems including Amazon®, Network Solutions®, ShopSite®, PayPal®, QuickBooks®, OrderMotion and more.
“By joining forces with TrueShip, we are excited to deliver our PC Postage service to the large customer base that uses ReadyShipper,” said Stamps.com chief marketing officer Jim Bortnak. “As market leaders in our respective areas, our combined strengths will deliver a professional product from brands that people trust.”
“We constantly seek new ways to drive growth for our customers and provide meaningful solutions for small business consumers and this new offering with Stamps.com made tremendous sense,” said Alex Ljungberg, Director of Product Development for TrueShip. “Through our new combined product, we are making it easier than ever for small and mid-sized businesses to ship packages professionally.”
