General Tips
|
- Use the "Print Sample" function to test out your printer setup. This will help you determine which way to feed your labels or your envelopes.
- Use the "Print Preview" label diagram in the "Print Postage" screen to pick the exact label you need to print.
- Post a note on or near your printer to remind you of which direction to feed your label sheets.
- If you are going to print on the same label sheet several times, start your print from the bottom of the page. For example, if you need to print five NetStamps, start printing from labels 21-25 instead of 1-5. This helps prevent misfeeds the next time you use the label sheet.

Computer and Printer Maintenance Tips
|
- Try to keep applications running at a minimum, especially if you have an older PC or very little RAM.
- Restart your computer and/or your printer if you haven't done so in a while.
- Check your printer's ink or toner level. Do a test print and replace the ink or toner if it prints unevenly or too lightly.
- Make sure you have the most recent printer driver from your printer manufacturer.
- Make sure you have the latest Windows updates as well as any updates to your commonly used applications. For example, Microsoft Office is frequently updated with new patches, fixes, etc.
- Make sure your ISP provides you with a stable Internet connection. You need to be connected to Stamps.com's servers in order to securely print your postage.

Large Batch Printing Tips
|
- If you are going to print postage in batches, print one real postage before you print the entire job. This will help catch any printer mistakes before you print a large job. You may also want to reduce any batch printing to 10 or 15 at a time to prevent large misprints.
- Divide your large mailings into smaller batches and work your way up to larger batches. You will be able to see how much your computer and printer can handle.
- Make sure you have enough labels, envelopes or paper to complete your print job.
- Avoid practicing or testing your mail merges with real postage. Use the "Print Sample" feature instead.

Network Printer Tips
|
- If you are using a shared network printer, alert other network users about your print so that they do not cancel your print job.
- Consider using the “Manual Feed” option on the printer to ensure that your postage prints on your designated envelope or label sheet.
