Customer Support: Troubleshooting: Internet Connectivity Issues
We recommend that you check the following settings if you have problems logging into your Stamps.com account:
- In Internet Explorer, please click on “Tools,” and then select “Internet Options.” Go to the “Connections” Tab, and then select “LAN Settings.” Please make sure that the white box indicating “Use a Proxy Server" does NOT have a check in it. Click OK and then OK again to close the Internet Options Box.
NOTE: If you do use a proxy server, please make sure it is entered correctly in the proxy server address.
- Please verify that the Date, Time, and Time Zone are correct on your computer. Simply double-click on your clock and correct if necessary.
- Please check your “Regional Settings” by clicking on the START button at the lower-left corner of your computer screen. Select the CONTROL PANEL in the second column that appears. In the CONTROL PANEL, please select “Regional and Language Options.” Make sure that the settings are set to “English (United States).
- Double-click on the Stamps.com Internet Postage icon.
- Click “Work Offline” on the login screen
- Click “Tools,” and then select “Internet Options.”
- Select “Connect manually”
- If you use a Proxy Server, please enter your proxy information. If you are not using a Proxy Server, please leave the fields blank.
- CClose the Stamps.com software
- If you have any pop-up filters, or any type of spam prevention software, please shut them down.
- If you have a firewall or proxy server, please make sure that your settings are set to “Permit all” or to “Allow all access.” Also make sure to open Ports 80 and 443 for Stamps.com. Please contact your system/network administrator for further assistance.

- Finally, please make another attempt to connect to Stamps.com. For help with Step 6, please consult the “Help” section of your firewall/proxy software.
