How to Print for Shipping

Use the Shipping option to print postage for packages on 8.5" x 11" plain paper or on Stamps.com Shipping Labels. You also get discounted Delivery Confirmation™ or Signature Confirmation™ services.

From the Postage tabs, select Shipping

  1. Enter the Delivery Address or select one or more recipients from your existing Address Book.
  2. Select the Mailpiece.
  3. From the Printing On menu, select what you will use to print your shipping label.
  4. Enter the Weight of your package and select the Mail Class.
  5. Select an e/Service. (Required except for Express Mail® packages.)
  6. Verify your Mailing Date. (You can postdate your shipping label up to 7 days but your package must be mailed on date selected.)
  7. To add a memo to the shipping label, enter text into the Memo Line.
  8. To add insurance to your package, specify the dollar amount of the insurance and select Stamps.com Insurance or USPS® Insurance from the Using field. Note that Stamps.com Insurance can be done completely online - USPS Insurance requires a trip to the Post Office™.
  9. To print a mailing receipt with your shipping label, check the box next to Print Mailing Receipt.
  10. Load your printer with paper or label sheets and click Print.
  11. Securely tape your plain paper shipping label to your package. Be sure not to cover the e/Service barcode with the tape.
