How to Print for Mailing

Use our Mailing option to print postage directly on envelopes or labels for a professional-looking mail piece. You can even print the postage and delivery address in one convenient step. From the Postage screen:

  1. Click the Mailing tab.
  2. Enter the Delivery Address or select one from your existing Address Book.
  3. Select the Mail piece.
  4. From the Printing On menu, select the type of envelope or label you will use.
  5. Enter the Weight of your mail piece and select the Mail Class.
  6. Verify your Mailing Date. (You can postdate your mail piece up to 30 days but it must be mailed on date selected.)
  7. Optional:
    a) Click on the Special Services button to add a special service to your mail piece, such as Delivery Confirmation™ or Insurance.
    b) Click the Options button to add a graphic to your mail piece or to adjust the font type of the mailing and delivery addresses.
  8. Load your printer with your envelope or label sheet and click Print.
Note: If you are using Stamps.com version 4.0 or higher, an additional barcode will be printed above the delivery address on First-Class Mail® envelopes, flyers and postcards. This PLANET barcode is a new feature from the USPS and is used to enable e/Refund requests made through our software.
