Keep your addresses safe by periodically making a copy of your address books using the Export feature. Store the file in a safe location, such as on a network drive or on removable media. If your hard disk fails, you can reinstall Stamps.com and use the Import feature to restore your address book.

How to Export an Address Book

Use this procedure when you want to move the contents of your Stamps.com Address Book to another software package.

To export the Stamps.com Address Book:

1. From the main left hand menu, select the ADDRESS BOOK tab. The Address Books dialog box appears.

   

2. Click on the button. The Export Address Book dialog box appears.

   

3. Navigate to the appropriate directory (if applicable), and type the name of a new or existing comma separated value (CSV) file to which you want to export addresses. The default name for this file is 'IPostage.csv'

4. Click 'Save'.

5. Stamps.com displays a message saying that the export was successful.

   

6. Click 'OK'.
